Types of Canadian Tourist Visas
Canadian tourist visas are issued in two forms: single-entry (single) visas and multiple-entry (multiple) visas.
Super Visa allows parents of Canadian citizens and permanent residents to travel to Canada with a multiple-entry visa.
Single-entry Visa:
- One-time entry for up to 6 months
- With a single-entry Canadian visa, you are only allowed to enter the country once. For example, a single-entry visa is issued for official visits by government officials, attending conferences, or participating in a specific event in the country. After leaving Canada, if you intend to travel to the country again, you will need to reapply for a new visa.
Multiple-entry Visa:
- 5-year multiple-entry Canada visa
- The multiple-entry Canada visa (Multiple-entry Visa) allows you to enter Canada multiple times during its validity period, which is why it is also called a multiple-entry visa. With a multiple-entry tourist visa, you can stay in the country for a maximum of 6 months each time you enter.
- The validity of a multiple-entry Canada visa is a maximum of 10 years or 1 month before the passport expiration date, whichever is shorter. For Iranians, a 5-year multiple-entry tourist visa is usually issued. With a multiple-entry Canada visa, you can enter Canada before or on the expiration date of the visa.
Super Visa:
- Canadian tourist visa for parents
- The Super Visa for Canada is a multiple-entry (multiple-entry) visa that is valid for up to 10 years and allows parents/grandparents of Canadian citizens and permanent residents to stay in Canada for 5 years each time they enter the country without needing to renew their status and live with their children and grandchildren. This visa is also known as the family visa, parent visa, or Canada parent visa and is different from the Canada sponsorship visa and Canada tourist visa.
